The Smart mode of the purifier automatically adjusts the speed of the air filtration system in accordance with the air quality. When air quality remains good for as long as 10 minutes, the purifier conserves energy by turning off the fan. If any fall in air quality is detected, the fan restarts automatically.
You even have the option of putting the device to work for a specified number of hours. Using the built-in timer feature, you can fix the number of hours to 1, 4 or 8.
The purifier also has two filter lifespan indicators with built-in indicator lights. One of them is meant for the two pre-filters and the other is meant for the MAX2 filter. To reset the indicator light, press and hold the button. The indicators are based on usage and not on time.
The exclusive feature of 300S which distinguishes it from 300 is its ability to be controlled through a mobile application. Just download the Airmega app on your phone and create an account. The device gets connected to the app through your wireless network. The screen displays all the settings of the device in the form of icons. You can get detailed information about the air quality of your room, readings of ozone levels and other pollutants, the status of the filters, etc. Through the clock and calendar icons, you can set a schedule and reschedule the working of the device. A bar graph icon displays the air quality data of one year in the form of line graphs or concentric circles.
Built-in handles allow the easy transport of the purifier from one place to another. Cleaning the filters is easy. Either side of the purifier can be easily pulled out to get access to the filters. Both the pre-filters are washable but the MAX2 filter needs to be replaced yearly. The sensors should be wiped with one end of a wet cotton swab.
